When the LaserJet quit, I got out the BubbleJet. At first it printed
satisfactorily, but after a few lines the type became horizontally streaked.
"New ink cartridge," I thought, but that didn't improve things at all. In
fact, after repeated trials the type disappeared entirely. I tried flushing
the carrier with water, which didn't help. Eventually it started printing
unbroken horizontal lines in the shape of the text, with three such lines
per line of text, euqally spaced, including blank lines.
Since w2k self-destructed yesterday in my other desktop, I had only the
w95 subnotebook to try under Windows. The results were even more bizarre:
Part of the logo on the test page printed, with some breaks, then there was
nothing.
I am very uncomfortable with no working printer at all!
