I should also mention that our target bandwidth is a minimum of 48
mbps 24x7 back to Caltech via I2. Basically 1/3 OC3 speed which
looking at the utilization of LaNet and the Abilene backbone, we
should be able to do. LSU has set up an 80 mbit pipe for us on their
traffic shaper but we are still seeing only T1 speeds or so. My
suspicion is that the bottleneck is at LSU, but I have no numbers to
conclude this without doubt.
