OK, I wasn't aware of that offering. Covad sells both direct and through
resellers. From what you describe, it sounds like Speakeasy is a Covad
reseller.

I have Speakeasy DSL here in Austin, and a land line. They told me
they could supply ADSL without POTS, as long as you've got the wire in
the wall. IIRC, the price was only up by $5 or $10.

Covad was somehow involved with my install.
