You may check with a local ISP that has a fiber termination kit. I
would think any GOOD fiber contractor may not want to mess with such a
small job.

Good luck with that. We inquired about that a few years ago to run some
fiber between the University and the city building in downtown Hammond for
disaster recovery. It seems Entergy and Bellsouth lease/sell/buy the
poles from each other every few years in some complicated tax writeoff
scheme. They wouldn't even entertain leasing some pole space to the city
of Hammond (and why should they when Bell could lease their own fiber to
us). Somehow Cox and Charter are in on the deal. When we inquired about
that, no one would tell us. So we kind of gave up the idea. Let me know
if you have better luck than we did with the poles.

We then thought about trenching it... well dont even think about getting
anywhere near any railroad tracks with a boaring machine. That takes an
act of congress.
