Well, Debian lets you issue "apt-get dist-upgrade" or somesuch.
    

Ahh....one of those new fanged thingies.  Ok, have any of you done an
 apt-get dist-upgrade and had good results, troubles, etc.
  

I've been doing it on one system weekly since 2000.
