O.K., so shoot me, but I'm trying to install a Scanport USB scanner on my
girlfriend's Dell running Windows 2000. The software install goes fine.
When I plug in the scanner, W2K detects the hardware and then displays a
message to the effect that it is installing the software (again!). The
system then hangs. Has anybody had any experience with this problem before?
Any advice would be appreciated.
