Hi guys. I recently set my system up dual head, and wanted to run xinerama.
However, a key piece of my productivity is gv, which seems not to understand
about xinerama -at all-.
There is a patch for this, which I found in Debian's bug tracking system.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=83693&repeatmerged=yes
However, I cannot get this to work. I extracted the text beginning with
--- gv-3.5.8/source/main.c
, not including the --- at the end of the code, patched with
patch source/main.c gvpatch.txt
What I get is this:
main.o: In function 'main_setResolutions':
main.o(.text+ox216d): undefined reference to 'XineramaIsActive'
main.o(.text+0x2186): undefined reference to 'XineramaQueryScreens'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1[ *** [gv] Error 1
...
In the message that the patch came in, it is mentioned that 'gv' has to be
linked against -lXinerama. So I think I have to do something more than patch
the source. But I don't know what. Can anyone help?
