Open-source. They complain about open-source. Open-source encompasses BSD
license ,GPL license, Apache, and many other that follow the policy of
letting you use their source code.

And actually, most companies complain about GPL b/c of its viral effect..
but there are ways to ship a product along with GPL stuff and not have to
worry about violating the license.

Yes, but recently it seems that MS has narrowed the complaining to GPL
stuff.
My guess is to directly attack Linux. I've never heard Ballmer complaing
much
about free/open/netBSD.
