[Nolug] Media box

Hi, gang.

In the best of all possible worlds, I want to archive all of my
existing DVDs to a box with a fat hard drive and watch any of them on
a TV at whim - including DVD menus and extra content - using only a
remote control. At this point in time, I'm less interested in
capturing a TV signal, but I suspect I'll tie into Hulu or Netflix
somehow.

Anyone have any experience with MythTV, Freevo, Geexbox, or know of
any alternatives that I should consider? I'm not adverse to buying
hardware, or reimaging an old Xbox or choosing wildly different
software than what I've mentioned.
