I don't have a pro-anything attitude when it comes to computers on a
personal level. Professionally, I don't have the authority to have an
opinion. We had problems with the 10 user limit placed on file sharing with
Windows, so I grabbed a bunch of hardware that was just sitting in the
company's junk pile, slapped it together, put Ubuntu on it and set up the
shares. Problem solved.

I only used Ubuntu because when my crappy netbook decided it didn't like
Windows anymore, I had no choice but to format the drive and Ubuntu was a
basically ready to go with a USB install. Try that with Windows XP...it's a
nightmare I haven't figured out yet.

Apple lost me somewhere around Jaguar...(what's with naming an OS after
animals...that goes for Ubuntu too? Seriously? Natty Narwhal?), or the
Intel processors...I liked Mac because of the hardware and graphics
software. Can't really argue the dominance of Mac anymore. Except that the
OS fell out of the Unix birth canal...But still, my work environment is
determined by the manufacturers of the equipment and the software which is
all Windows based.

Personally, I love the fact that I don't need a "computer" to check my
email, find the nearest movie theater, or play music. How about that?
