There are actually a bunch of places that carry dsl modems locally - greybar
communications in harahan is one for sure. I have an old alcatel 1000 -
great modem - with the power supply, If you want it find me a price on ebay
and its yours.

I do happen to have a few old Alcatel 1000's. You are welcome to one. They
don't have the power supply, however. They need a 9V, 1A supply.
