Same exact thing happened to me back in Gulf 1.

While setting up CUPS for a stand-alone printer is duck soup, altering
cups.conf to allow other computers to access the printer is a bit more
difficult.

A mini-topic, or at least a mini-HOWTO on that might be useful.
