I don't see what Cox's policy with operating systems has to do with
anything.
you can run mail/dens/web/myself/etc. servers on almost any platform out
there. it's not restricted to Linux.
Cox, from what I understand ( and feel free to correct me Charles ), is
restricting port 25 usage across the board. they are not singling out Linux
users.

seems to me that you are trying whip out some smoke and mirrors to shy us
away from the issue at hand. saying "hey! linux is a-ok with us! whee!
hooray for oss! (but nevermind that we're closing down ports)"

Cox is restricting internet access usage to their customers. that has
nothing to do with Operating Systems. nothing at all. why even bring it up?

if i wanted restrictions on my internet connection, id join AOL.
