I've been using Reiser on my work box for over 3 years now, since Mandrake
7.1 or something. it's always worked fine from me.

Actually IBM's JFS for Linux originally came from OS2, so i don't think
it's even in the same branch as AIX. And AIX 5 has had JFS2 for quite
some time, no sign of JFS2 for Linux. But you are right that JFS
definitely does not seem as actively developed as Reiser or XFS.

We use ext3 on our mail servers (sendmail/mbox format), and with Redhat
kernel problems our imap server has crashed more often than i'd like.
ext3 has never failed to recover the journal however. But we did have one
or two instances of weird cross linked files, we had to run fsck to fix.
So in my experience with ext3, just because the journal is recovered,
doesn't mean you won't still have filesystem errors when running fsck.

The good thing about being connected to a SAN though, is i could easily
convert to XFS if need be. But performance isn't an issue, and the
kernel problems are resolved. Speaking of SANs, anyone have any
experience with Oracle's OCFS? http://oss.oracle.com/projects/ocfs/
