Brett,
This is an excellent question.
Who would know, or have a copy of the charter?
UNO probably could not give us the dedicated space we would need. Possibly
a closet in one of the common areas, but that's unlikely as well. We need a
place we can keep machines running and possibly install DSL.
I guess we need to figure out who 'owns' the group before we make wild and
glorious plans ;)
If in the event this is a UNO organization, does anyone know how to
incorporate a non-profit organization?
I can try and contact some District members of Knights of Columbus, Lyons,
Foresters, Masons etc.
Still no luck on my side for free space.
I would like to avoid using a persons house.
All niters tend to make wives very happy (as do strange guests).
Not to mention I personally have children. So, my play space is now their
play space.
I think the church hall idea may have merit. We can offer web
building/hosting in exchange for permanent space.
We may have to do the closet thingy, so keep your eyes open for some sturdy
A/V carts.
(YES with wheels...you've been using windows too long)
Anyway, thanks for your responses.
Manuel, I'll try to fix that printer if you donate it to the clubhouse ;)
Thanks for your time.
Chris

Has anyone every checked on the possibility of using UNO?
Question - is NOLUG chartered at all by UNO? I mean, is it a university
organization or are they
just kind enough to let us meet there?
