./configure --help should provide some info. you probably need to do
something like "./configure
--with-odbc-includes=/path/to/odbc/include.h.files
--with-odbc=/path/to/odbc/libs" I'm guessing that the libraries and
includes are not being found in locations that "configure" thinks is
standard.
