Part 2 -- sent part 1 without meaning to

center screen and hangs there.
ST340016A (5/04): "Updating /etc/fstab unregistered file type for
/dev/cdwriter - failed"
Didn't bring up eth0 in five minutes; no message, I just aborted
ST380013A (new with $50 rebate; no OS installed. When trying to install from
DVD (CD-DVD internal drive): "Verifying DMI Pool Data .............
                           Boot from CD :
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS
ENTER"
None of my Linux boot floppies works; don't know if they were ever usable.

The IBM hd is new from 2002 stock; Fedora 2 installed and worked for a
couple of weeks; suspect w2k dual-boot arrangement did it in.

At this point, the only computer I have that will do internet is the
Omnibook, which has no floppy and no USB. My external drives are USB. If you
think the system will handle the CD you have, I'd like to get a copy.

I think the MSI board is going to have to go back to them. Problem is I
bought through eBay and message I tried to send to vendor came back. He
claimed to have bought it from a Houston retail store. It worked fine for
2-3 weeks and went bad during all this hd trouble.
