I'm glad to see that a meeting is happening. Unfortunately for me, I
won't be there to enjoy it. I'll be making King Cakes at the bakery in
Mandeville where I'm working. Will there be any Guerilla meetings anytime
soon? I'm across the Lake on the North Shore at least till Mardi Gras.
Working way too much, and the pay is lousy, but you take what you can find
I guess.

I know I should have put an introduction on the list before this, and
should do so now. I don't have much time though. Let see, I have
extensive knowledge of Linux, have programmed professionally (mostly
Microsoft C -- which I avoid at this point as the Microsoft platforms
drive me almost completely nuts). I love to implement solutions with Open
Source tools including Linux, PHP, Postgresql, Mysql, Linux Terminal
Services, XFree86, etc.

I'm in the area because it's warmer than Missouri is at the moment. My
family (wife and daughter and son) and I have been on the road since
August 2003. If you are so inclined you can read about some of our
adventures at http://www.spunge.org/~jwaddell. Our major goal for this
year is to get my son to the Redwoods by his birthday (July 22).

Anyway if anyone has time and desire to swap Linux stories or better yet
has computer work that pays better than $6 an hour I would be glad to hear
from them at this email address or at jeffwaddell@mail.com.

Gotta go.

Jeff
