No offence, but I think you're nuts. Setting up a printer is as easy as
"add printer" in the KDE printer settings and only a little less easy in
Gnome. Pdf is much easier to handle in linux than in windows since
everything is already ps anyway, and the conversion is a snap. No
special printer drivers to install. Doc is a breeze with openoffice.
Much more convenient to fire up openoffice than to close out your gimp
and your GNUCash and mozilla with all the pages you've been saving to
look at later in the the week to reboot just so you can fix a spelling
error in word.
