Arggh! The Coryolis force! Okay, guys, my fight for truth and justice
continues. I once was at a party with some friends whose toilet
swirled in the opposite direction (in Covington, not Australia) and I
made everybody come into the bathroom and watch the toilet. (Goes to
show what kind of life I have.) Coryolis is significant on scales of
hundreds of miles, but it is so miniscule at the scale of a toilet
that it has no effect. The only reason toilets swirl the direction
they do is because they were designed that way.
