A healthcare provider, based in Baton Rouge, LA, is looking for a
full-time systems administrator and IT Manager. The administrator will
be working in a medium-size company that has a main clinic in Baton
Rouge, and four additional remote clinics in Baton Rouge, Ascension
and Denham Springs.
Required Skills
* Windows servers, workstations, and thin clients
* Linux (RH and SuSE) server management
* Shell scripting
* An understanding of LANs and WANs
* Ability to communicate well
* Be able to juggle multiple projects at once
Nice Skills to Have
* SCO OSR5 – We assume that you can learn SCO quickly if you know Linux
* Experience with budgeting a small IT department
* Understand how to strategically run IT
* Programming, Perl, Access
You need to have several years of experience in the industry.
Prospects with a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science,
ISDS) are preferred.
Salary begins at $45K.
Note that this is a long-term position. If you will only be in Baton
Rouge for a few months then this position is not for you, sorry.
