Wow this really blew up today. The reason you have to register to view it is
because this is just a test drive. If we do decide to set something up then
it would be easy to do. Personally I don't care for mail lists, as it's easy
to start getting spam into it. Granted forums are a lot of times the same
way. This however is something that we have found a solution for at
usalug.org, opensuse.us, and bashscripts.org. Now in order to view a profile
you are prompted for a u/n and p/w, which is given on the login box, bots
can't read that though so it messes a bot up. Which cuts down on spam on the
forum. Also, God forbid that someone pic up a virus, or something like that,
that will mail itself out to a mailing list. These are things that I have to
worry about at work (since I'm in the military).

Dave Crouse was kind enough to let me set this up there. I set it so that
you would have to register to view the forum for now. This way we could test
it out, and see what kind of response we would have. Dave has also been kind
enough to help us set up the forum for us, if we choose to do so. He is as
good of a php guy as I have seen, and I believe that this is evident in
usalug.org, and opensuse.us. crouse.us/phpBB is being hosted on his own
server, so that is why I set it up the way I have.
