Actually, they aren't going to be moving to In-hell based systems for
now it appears. Current word amongst the developer community is that
we're pretty much assured that they will be moving over the IBM versions
of the PowerPC system with the 64bit Power4s. And its not that the
chips can't keep up with Intel, its that Motorola has been having
problems with its chip designers. They were having problems churning
out the newest versions of the PowerPCs and it put Apple behind on a
release date. And they seem to be having problem with having the chips
clock faster (see next sentences). As well, part of the problem also is
that the idiocy of clock speed versus performance is seeping into Apple.
  When a system running a whole 1ghz slow out performs a 1.8ghz box,
that SHOULD send a message, but most people don't quite get it.
