Not sure about tunneling, but whatever you have as your active network this will use like I and someone else said, the touch keyboard makes text apps hard. You might google android keyboard. Ive never used them, but some cases have them and some may be a hack job Bluetooth or usb. (Might require rooting if its not a signed app)
Some of those tools may best be done with via a linux, server running scripts served behind a password protected apache web page.
