If you have the opportunity to purchase a Motorola 4200 (or higher) series modem scoop it up. It is by far the best modem on the market currently. While I love the Cisco 904s don't go for them or the early Samsungs (i.e. SR series). The main issue with the latter two is that they aren't going to be upgraded past DOCSIS 1.0. What this means is that some of the newer features won't be available on those two.
