Delgado is more central than UNO. It may be a better deal.
I think we need to nail down solid attendance at monthly meeting
before tackling more than one meet a month. I think we should
move the night -- but that's only because I can't attend on
thursday's anymore ;). Seriously, do what gets the most people
there and involved!

I am all for more organized meets. but people need to step up.
I'd suggest an agenda something like this.

1) meet and greet, 10 minutes
2) presentation one. Always more basic stuff. either simpler
tutorials. tips and tricks. Desktop software. gaming. IN other
words, things that cater to new linux users. 1/2 hour
3) Presentation two. More advanced. networking tricks. etc.
The stuff we've been doing in other words
4) Administrative and question and answer. If there's any planning
for demo days, installfests, etc. Then do a Q & A. perhaps this
is where people who brought in their boxes get hands-on assistance, etc.

This is just a basic structure for a typical meeting. Feel free
to vary. The key is getting people to _commit_ well in advance to
doing one of the half-hours. Then schedule em. Once we do that,
I'll start putting a calendar on the web site with the schedule.
I will also make it where you can sign in and put a bio up as a
"member" ("member" = someone on this list who goes to meetings ;) )

And of course we should put on presentation materials online as well.

More than anything being active will attract members.

I also advocate putting flyers in Borders on Vets. This worked
at the beginning and management at the time was very amenable to it.
We put them in the racks right next to all the good O'reilly books.
Borders was even willing to host our meetings but it didn't make
such a good site.

We need a site where we can plug in. UNO has always been good to
us in that regard. Delgado is a better location (central) if it has
the resources. I wouldn't advocate changing locations without
making sure the resources are there. Libraries and universities
are generally the best lug meeting sites.

We *have* tried to meet at a commercial site. It was not so good for
us.
